ART BOOK LIMITED COLLECTOR’S EDITION
A complete NEIGHBOURS Art Against War art book, featuring 114 exceptional works of art by artists from Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Moldova, Romania, and Belarus. Exclusive version in Swiss binding, with an open spine, available in a limited edition of 500. Each copy is numbered. The inside of the art book has been printed on high-quality Munken Pure Rough 170 g uncoated paper. It comes in a Wibalin cover in two Pantone colours – the colours of Ukraine, and features a letterpress debossed Neighbours wordmark. In addition, the art book includes a poster-form dust jacket printed in five colours and comes in exclusive packaging.
This version of the art book comes with an open spine and features threads in the colours of Ukraine: yellow and blue. The open spine is a symbol of a brand-new, still unfolding chapter of the war fought by our neighbour. The spine is left intentionally open to symbolise an attitude of not turning a blind eye to what is going on in Ukraine, and the ‘harshness’ of the spine, featuring perfectly visible threads, is a reference to the destroyed buildings – their carrying structures and guts, their bare skeletons and ruined interiors that survived the bombings. The title ‘Neighbours’, debossed into the cover, is an imprint that this war will leave on Ukraine forever. An imprint that can never be erased. When experienced through sight and touch, the art book becomes alive and stimulates the imagination of the viewer.
