ZBIOK

ZBIOK Czajkowski, born in 1982 in Zielona Góra. Painter, muralist, illustrator. He studied graphic design at the Institute of Fine Arts and art education at the Institute of Art and Plastic Culture at the University of Zielona Góra. He operates mainly in two areas of painting — traditional easel painting and large-scale painting in public spaces. He draws on street aesthetics, paintings by early 20th century masters, and popular culture. Zbiok’s art is mostly concerned with themes such as social inequality, violence, or discrimination. He has participated in more than 100 exhibitions and projects in e.g. Poland, Germany, Russia, USA, Japan, India, China, or UK. As of 2019, he’s been teaching art at the Institute of Visual Arts at the University of Zielona Góra. In 2011, he was awarded a scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. In 2019, he won first prize for best artwork in the Cover Awarts competition. He lives and works in Warsaw.
